The group will be facilitated by Amaru from Guided By Grandma. The Dietas will be opened by a trusted Shipibo Curandero and family that we have worked with before who we know, like and trust.

We will be traveling into the heart of the Amazon Rainforest to work with a Shipibo Family. You can choose to Diet a Master Plant, known as SAMA. Or you can opt for a period of treatment known as PAYANTI (cleansing)

The dates are 12/22/25 - 1/3/25

We arrive to the jungle on 12/22/25

On 12/23, we will travel as a group deeper into the jungle to the center

We will stay there for 10 nights until 1/2

On 1/2, we will go back to a hotel, and stay in a hotel for one night.

Some people come to heal. Some people come to learn. Some people come to experience the Amazon. There are many different reasons why people feel this call.

During our personal time in the jungle we have met people who were healing from cancer, deep grief and sadness, drug addiction, alcohol addiction, sexual addiction, abuse, assault, violence… Some were getting divorced. Some were grieving the loss of a child.

We have also met people who have a deep curiosity and want to expand their consciousness.

Other people have been different types of healers, and were looking to enhance their own capabilities to ultimately become better energy medicine healers.

You do not have to fit into a category to come to this work. This work is Specific and Universal at the same time.

Please know that you do not have to “be sick” or “in pain” to benefit from this work.

This work is for those who are interested in it and feel the call to be a part of it.

Space is Limited, as every participant must have their own Tambo.

There are only so many Tambos at the center, and spaces are first come, first served.

If you are interested, please reach out ASAP and express your interest so that we can schedule an intake call with you which will take place via Zoom.

We must reserve our spaces ASAP and look into purchasing plane tickets.

For those who are traveling with us, we will provide a clear packing list for you. There will also be preparation calls via Zoom for those who are registered and put in their deposit to hold their space.

Those who are traveling us will have preparation calls via Zoom prior to flying to Peru. We will answer any and all questions that you may have.

If. you are on a prescription medication, please let me know in advance, so that I can go over this with my teacher.

In dieta, do not touch any other participant.

Do not gossip or speak badly about any other participant. If you are having an issue with anyone or anything, please first speak with Amaru, who will help you handle the situation in an appropriate way.

Do not go into anyone else’s Tambo. You can only go into your own Tambo.

If women are bleeding on their cycle, please let Amaru know.

Please do not eat or drink any food or snacks that you brought from outside the center. For example, if you are in dieta, you can not eat a candy bar in your tambo.

Ceremony is Monday, Wednesday, Friday… Saturday and Sunday we rest. You do not need to come to ceremony, but we do recommend it. At the ceremony, we sit in silence. There is no talking or touching during the ceremony. If you need help, simply say, “Help” and a facilitator will come to help you directly.

Please be kind to everyone, as we have no idea what other people are coming to heal. For some people, the process could be lighter, and for others, they could be fighting for their life. We just don’t know where people are at, and we have to be compassionate and respectful to the vast array of situations.

This process teaches us how not to judge others, how to hold space, how to have energetic boundaries, and how to be a better neighbor (literally/metaphorically)

There are the things we can see. And then the things that we can not see. There are always circumstances that can not be accounted for.

Triggers can get triggered. Things come up. Always breathe, pause, take a moment and ask for help if you need it.

Do not yell or raise your voice. Pause and communicate from a balanced place. In Dieta, we are advised not to go into anger, but rather to recognize the emotion, and choose to let it go.

Healing and expansion happen outside of your comfort zone… Most likely, you will go outside of your comfort zone on this trip.

I, Amaru, and the Shipibo Family at the center, will do our best to accommodate you, but it is the JUNGLE. It is not easy by design. You will be tested.

This is NOT a vacation.

This is NOT a retreat.

This is an authentic and traditional Shipibo Master Plant Dieta and it is designed to help you grow.

It is NOT easy.

I can prepare you for days and weeks in advance, and it will still not be easy. I can tell you everything I have learned, and there will still be new things that we learn together. This path is LIFELONG and we are always learning.

This is not for people who want to post cute stories on their IG.

This is for people who are deep soul searchers looking for something beyond words that they know is there but have never been able to find before.

I do not want to say more, because it is important for you to have your own individual experience.

No matter how much I say, there is always more to say, but on the other side of that, sometimes it’s better to say less.

Your relationship to this work will be your own. It will be unique to you. And that is for you to develop and discover in your own personal process with the plant teachers.

In traditional Amazonian shamanism, the master plant dieta is a process in which the dietero enters isolation in the rainforest, adheres to a very limited diet, and ingests and cultivates a relationship with a plant to learn the teachings and healing modalities that the spirit of this plant has to offer.

Our Shipibo Teachers have curated a journey that allows you to step on to the path of the dietero, to access the ancient and eternal wisdom of the master plants and allow them to reveal that same wisdom within you.
